- Animal park/zoo/aquarium
- Woodland, nature reserve or natural area
Looking for a fantastic family day out in Wallonia? Venture into the natural domain of the caves of Han and have a closer look at the Ardenne's flora and fauna in the Wildlife Park.
This 250-hectare reserve stretches through a massif overlooking the famous Caves of Han. The many viewpoints and hides give you a safe opportunity to get closer to the animals living in the region: deer, wolves. lynxes, brown bears but also endangered species such as European bison or Przewalski horses.
2 ways to explore the park
You can either explore by safari car or walk along the newly designed 5-km trail.
Aboard the safari car
Go straight to the village of Han-sur-Lesse where you can board the safari-train, big open vehicles driving through the reserve. There will be several stops along the way to get you a better chance to observe the animals.
Walk along the newly designed trail
Discover the Wildlife Park at your own pace via this 5 km footpath, providing many opportunities to approach the animals from a safe distance. Viewpoints, benches, picnic tables add to the experience.
Visitors have the possibility, half way through the trail, to catch a shuttle to the Bears den.
Sleeping in the trees
How about spending the night in a Tree Tent, from where you can observe the animals from up high...
