- Cycle ride
Cyclists are sure to love this RAVel, which goes to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg via the Mardasson memorial and the exceptional Bastogne War Museum.
This RAVel reveals the most secrets places in the Bastogne region. Fron the town centre, we cycle peacefully. Along this green belt, the declines remain low (rarely more than 2.5%): the slope was calculated, at the time, to give enough time to the trains to conquer the relief, from Wiltz to Bastogne.
Following the former railway tracks, we pedal from one station to the other, pass hills through tunnels, follow the mysterious Wiltz valley and cross the river by cycling along historical masterpieces.
The landscapes are sure to wow you. On the way out, you will cycle down towards the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the tracks going slightly down and helping with the speed. On the way back, you will need to manage this increase - gentle, but over a long distance.
Reaching the end of the itinerary, the RAVel takes you back to the Mardasson Memorial and the Bastogne War Museum, which both commemorate the suffering the civil population went through during the Ardenne battle in December 1944. The museum also is a vibrant testament to peace.
