For sporty and more adventurous cyclists, the punishing climbs and scary descents of Wallonia's bike parks await.
La Ferme Libert in Malmedy
The bike park of la Ferme Libert is located in the heart of the High Fens, a few minutes from Malmedy. A former ski slope has been converted and totally remodelled to become a bike park widely considered to be one of the best in the Benelux countries.
It has several downhill slopes, a Four-Cross track, an ‘enduro track’, trial biking zones and a brand new ‘Zone Dirt’ feature, all created by World Ride Tour star Cyril Cabat.
Eau d'Heure Lakes
This brand new bike park opened in June 2016 in the heart of the magnificent Eau d'Heure Lakes attraction, already well-known for its wide range of watersports and leisure activities.
The park offers permanent mountain biking tracks, a trial bike area, Dual Slalom/Four-Cross or Free Ride tracks and a Pump Track area.
Volmersberg Park in Sankt Vith
This bike park is free to visit and is a tough test of your mountain biking skills and technical ability.
The trail snakes through the wooded Volmersberg district for almost 5 km and offers three degrees of difficulty, signposted with arrows. It’s designed for more experienced mountain bikers and is unsuitable for children under the age of 8. You’re advised to ride the track accompanied. Park at the Triangel cultural centre and head to the bike park via the RAVeL, where a small test trail has been set up.
