Come and see Dinant's great carnival procession with its amazing costumes and giant puppets.

Meet the giants: Guinguet, Cafonnette and Cheval Bayard. The latter is a fairy horse which, according to the legend, still can be found wandering through Ardennes forest, where one can hear neighing at each summer solstice.

Wondering who Guinguet refers to? Let's go back to 1815. The three brothers Debri, nicknamed "the Guinguets", proved quite brave by stopping 2,000 Cossacks at the Bayard pass and saving Dinant in the process.

Join in. There even is a wheelbarrow and fancy dress competition... Sign up on site.
