La Calamine will cheer to the sounds of the Rhine carnival: a centuries-old tradition with manyprocessions, which includes the Rose Monday, the highest point of the festivities!
The Rosenmontag or Rose Monday
This celebration has been taking place every year on the Monday before Mardi Gras.... since 1879.
- a hundred floats, groups and bands
- over 7,000 participants throughout the 4 days
- a parade over 1.5 km in length
- A 7.5 km route
- several tons of treats and gadgets distributed to the crowds

- Thursday: old women procession
- Saturday: children's procession
- Sunday: traditional procession
- Monday: Rose Monday procession
