Located by one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia, Poirier du Loup is a communal vineyard managed by forty volunteers.
The estate
- The story starts in 1954, when Mr Petit asks a lady known as "La Zolette" whether he could plant vine plants on her land. The name of the first wine produced in the village bore his name. W
- ith time, the vineyard disappeared but a group of enthusiasts took up the challenge of bringing it back to life, focusing on organic viticulture.
The wine
The vineyard produces:
- still wines (Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir)
- sparkling wines (white and rosé)
- ratafia
- and from time to time, thatched wine aged in acacia barrels.
Visits
Visits (both for groups and individuals) of the cooperative and its winery, followed by a tasting, can be organised throughout the year but must be arranged in advance.
