The Château de Mouscron is the only surviving example of pre-19th-century architecture in the commune. 4 families of lords lived there along 6 centuries. Two historical events are linked to the site, both well engraved in local tradition and folklore.
- Charles Quint stayed there when stopping in Mouscron.
- The Hurlus, keen on Luther, pillaged the region and stayed 3 months in the castle, emptying it of its furniture.

This large estate (manor built in the Tournai style, courtyard, 16th and 17th century outbuildings, moats) still stands.

Closed to the public, open only for Heritage days or for groups on request. Audioguides are available at the Maison du tourisme.
