Viroinval - Protected Areas

The commune of Viroinval is an area of special biological and geographical interest, designated as a ‘Natural Park’ since 1998. It’s located near the Belgium-France border, halfway between Charleville in France and Charleroi in Wallonia. Viroinval contains three different geological regions – Fagne schisteuse, Calestienne and Ardenne – which create great natural diversity in a relatively small area, with stunning landscapes and viewpoints, and exceptional flora and fauna.
