Wallonia, your golf destination

More than 30 courses, from beginner to championship level, are dotted throughout Wallonia. They are easily accessible for British visitors by road, sea or air, and the green fees are generally more affordable than in the UK.

Golfing breaks in Wallonia can be combined with many other activities to interest any non-golfers in your party. No visit to the region would be complete without commemorating some of the historic battles that took place there: Mons in the west, Waterloo in the centre and Liège and the Ardennes in the east bore witness to the end of the Napoleonic era and ferocious engagements in both World Wars. There are literally hundreds of memorials, museums, exhibitions and deeply evocative graveyards commemorating these conflicts.

Almost everywhere you go – and nowhere is more than two hours away – there are wonderful landscapes, interesting gastronomy, world-beating beers and picturesque medieval towns and villages such as Durbuy and  Marche-en-Famenne in the Ardennes. Liège and the regional capital Namur are renowned for their quality shopping, restaurants and cafés, and the sparkling waters of Spa and Chaudfontaine continue to attract thousands of visitors, young and old, as they have done since Roman times.
