The BPS22 is the art museum of the Province of Hainaut. This industrial glass and iron building, in the centre of Charleroi, dates back to 1911.

The BPS22 represents an iconic, historical building, a project, a team, partners: more than just a museum!

Extension and renovation work was carried through a year and half, entrusted to the architectural firm Archiscénographie Roland and concluding in September 2015. The museum now features 2500 m² storage surface, making it the largest museum in Wallonia.

This cultural space features case study or collective exhibitions by Belgian and international artists focusing on current social issues. The museum's programme gives prominent space to exhibitions that deal with greater global issue as well as various artistic media (music, theatre, dance, etc) linked to visual arts.
