An exhibition presenting the Low Danube civilisations | Liège

  • Exhibition
From Friday 08 November 2019 to Sunday 26 April 2020.

As part of Europalia Romania, the Grand Curtius has designed a new exhibition presenting the Low Danube civilisations.

300 fascinating artefacts

This partnership with the Romania's National History Museum and the Romanian Cultural Institute will feature:

  • potteries
  • anthropomorphic statuettes
  • ornaments
  • Gold and bronze weapons

All highlight the symbol revolutions started in the Neolithic period and continued in the Bronze age.

Romania: a trading area

Situated between the Black Sea and Danube delta to the south-east and is crossed by the Carpathian Mountains to the north-west, Romania enjoys Slavic, Balkan and Germanic culture. This makes the country a privileged location for exchanges between East and West Europe.

Schedule
