Art Liberty. From the Berlin Wall to Street Art is an exceptional outdoors exhibition by the Mardasson memorial.
This temporary exhibitio (organised as part of the 75th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge and 30th anniversaty of the fall of the Berlin wall) pays tribute to the precursors of street art who made of the Berlin Wall, a symbol of oppression, a media for creativity and freedom. The same artists expressed in their own way that the many who lost their life during the 1944-45 winter was not in vain.
The fight for freedom is the common theme.
Among the many pieces:
- 30 art works from the Berlin No man's land
- A large fragment of the Berlin wall (from the West side), showing three pop stars linked to the German capital: David Bowie, Iggy Pop and Lou Reed
- 3 Trabant painted by historical artists
- Screenings and photos
