- The most beautiful villages of Wallonia
Perched on a top of a hill, Soulme is considered one of the prettiest villages in Wallonia. Its picturesque little houses, mad of the local stone, prove quite enchanting. Why not stop there and enjoy a stroll in the nearby countryside?
At the heart of the Fagne region
Set in nature, this little village only counts fifty or so houses. Most date back to the 18th and 19th century. Built of limestone, their whitewash finish is typical of the region, creating an overall effect of harmony and simplicity. The Saint Colombe Church (16th century), on the main square, is lined with chestnut trees. It is now listed as a historical building, as it the delightful 17th-century mill.
A fantastic day out
There are fantastic paths to enjoy in the nearby fields and woodlands - either walking, cycling or horseriding. The landscapes are sure to take your breath away... The Hermeton valley, crossed by a stream, will steal your heart.
Terroir products
The Henry Lathuraz farm, at the edge of the village, will delight you with raw milk, butter, cheese, ice-cream... Their little shop is open every day. Groups can arrange a visit of the farm.
