- Christmas market
Louvain-la-Neuve Christmas market will stretch over the two mains squares of the town centre. More than 100 artisans will take part in the event, November 30th to December 20th, 2018.
The Grand Place invites visitors to the most delicious walk through its craft and terroir village, decorated with stunning snowy Christmas trees.
This is the perfect place to start your Christmas shopping or simply indulge in savoury treats, paired with champagne or mulled wine. Dessert lovers will fall for the many pastries, croustillons and gingerbread. But it is the bonfire, kept lit 24 hours a day that makes this Christmas market so special. Simply sit on one of the comfy sheepskins around and enjoy...

On the Place de l'Université, more than 60 crafters present their traditional creations: ceramic figures to decorate your Nativity scene, jewels, accessories, candles, hand knit woollen hats, gloves and scarves, light garlands...
There is food on this side too - foie gras, flammekueche made with Maroilles cheese, jams, truffles, mead...
The market's atmosphere is always very festive, let alone is traffic free. When the artisans close their lodge for the day, visitors meet around the Mulled Wine carriage. The square will then remind you of summer balls, lit with tiny lanterns. Children and adults always have a fantastic time.
A visit to this Christmas market is an absolute must!
