The hardest thing when visiting Durbuy is deciding what to do

If you don't know where to start, Durbuy's Syndicat d’Initiative offers regular historical and gourmet walks through the old town. Accompanied by a guide, you have the opportunity to meander through the lanes, making ‘tasting stops’ to sample the produce of local traders.

The Old Town

This little gem of the Middle Ages has been able to preserve the witnesses of its past and is today this charming romantic village nestled in the meanders of the River Ourthe. Narrow winding and cobbled streets, solid stone buildings overlooked by a castle perched on a rocky peak await you… Durbuy’s old town ensures a getaway in the authenticity of the Belgian Ardennes.

L’anticlinal – Le rocher d’Omalius

This enormous rock situated in the heart of the town has made the town famous. This limestone massif, also called « roche à la Falize », or Falize Rock is a real natural splendour which reveals different geological layers. It is highlighted by an artificial lake, lighting effects and waterfalls.

Topiary Park

This vast garden of one hectare situated along the banks of the River Ourthe is one of the most amazing places in the town. The topiaries are in reality sculpted and trimmed into diverse shapes. You’ll find mermaids, elephants or even crocodiles in the park! As for the park’s terrace and café, they offer a magnificent viewpoint of the town.
