Lovers of walks and nature will love the surroundings of Spa

Spa is part of the Belgian Ardennes, known for its expansive green areas, forests, hiking trails … Both within the town and the surrounding area, water is an integral part of the landscape. But it’s also a region of heritage, folklore and history.

Park Forestia

Forestia is a park dedicated to the comprehension of nature. Enjoy an unforgettable day with the family or friends in the heart of the forest. The wildlife park invites you to discover at least 300 animals from our climates which roam in semi-liberty. As for the adventure park it, offers nine courses and more than 100 obstacles in the trees for the young and old.

The benefits of biking are incontestable, but it’s also an excellent way to explore the town. So, the RAVeL 44a (Greenway) allows you to link Spa to Stavelot. Furthermore, the pré-RAVeL, a gravel path, allows you to discover the town by passing alongside the Spa-Francorchamps racetrack.

Château de Franchimont

The Château of Franchimont is an 11th-century medieval fortress built on a hill which dominates three valleys to the north of the Ardennes. You can discover this treasure of Walloon heritage, a rare example of the mutation of defence systems during the Renaissance, thanks to an interactive visit with a personal audio guide.
