This workshop-museum, with its warm, comforting tobacco smell, is the perfect place to discover a 19th century profession: preparing what the herb called Nicotina, a plant that grew easily on poor, acidic soil such as he Ardenne's. The manufacture seduces by its insight into another century.

Your visit

Visitors can learn about this daring school teacher and his plantation, the different steps in the process (still done on machines dating back to 1900), the many ways tobacco can be consumed: a whole page of history of the Semois villages.
