The Musée International du Carnaval et du Masque de Binche, at the very heart of the city famous for it Carnival characters named the Gilles, invites you to discover the many festivals and traditions of the region.

This quirky museum explores the fascinating world of masks, from Wallonia to the many carnivals around the world. You will learn of the ritual functions of the mask on five continents, masked festivals in rural areas, the great urban carnivals of Europe, the Walloon carnivals and the famous carnival of Binche.

The Musée du Masque also organizes temporary exhibitions, workshops, guided tours as well as entertainment for adults and families.
