This castle is Henri De Gorge's managerial residence. It is part of the Grand-Hornu estate: an iconic site symbolic of the region's industrialisation beginning of the 19th century as well as the first big concentrations of workers at the time and one of the first example of industrial urbanisation.
The Grand-Hornu is characterised by a large elliptical yard around which unfold work buildings. The château de Gorge can be found along the extended ellipse starting from the central arcade of the machibe building workshop. The castle includes a main building with 2 wings, one on each side.
The castle cannot be visited.
