The Homalius rock, also known as the Falize rock, is shaped as a reversed U. This typ e of formation, known as anticline, is over 300-million-year-old. Its top is the culminating point of Durbuy. Its charming esplanade, within easy reach of the "smallest town in the world" and its historical centre, is the perfect view point for pictures.

Durbuy's anticline, together with the one in Han-sur-Lesse, are considered the most beautiful in Belgium.
