La Roche-en-Ardenne and its Grès de la Roche museums offer a real journey through time. The reconstituted decors prove perfect to discover the traditions of yesteryear.

Modern staging

This audio-guided tour (45 mn), available in 4 languages, will retrace the history of the local sandstone and the way it was used from the fields to the kitchen.

The sandstone of La Roche-en-Ardenne

The KALB family brought the used pieces of blue limestone to the area in 1878: this small-scale ceramics industry put La Roche-en-Ardenne on the map.
