International marathon of Namur | At the very heart of Wallonia

Love a challenge? Then join the Namur marathon! The 42 km itinerary is a wonderful opportunity to discover the capital of Wallonia and its region. The event will take place on April 22nd, 2018.

Namur International Marathon

You will first go to the city of Andenne by taking the quays of Meuse until the turning point to return to the bridge of the Ardennes (bridge of the stalkers). Past the Ardennes bridge, you will follow the Sambre towpath to the rue de Bruxelles. You will arrive in the historic centre of Namur then return to the bridge of the Ardennes. At this point, the road will take you to Wépion via the district of Amée. Continue along the Meuse walk where you will cross a temporary floating bridge built for the occasion. You will then go through the quite stunning Walloon Government (parvis de l'Elysette) and reach the finish line. Please note that ascending elevation on this race is of 120 m.

Namur Half Marathon

The route for this half marathon is 21.5 kilometres long, with an ascending elevation of 80 meters. Departure and arrival take place on Avenue Bovesse in Legs. You will go up the avenue Bovesse to cross directly the Walloon government and to go down the road of Dave while passing by the district of Amée. At the bridge, the road will take you to Wépion where you will turn back, running along the Meuse and crossing an ephemeral floating bridge built for the occasion. Continuing along the docks, you will get to the Elysette (the forecourt of the Walloon Government) and finish with a tour of the neighbourhood.

Kids run

Children can join the action too! they will have their own event, with 2 races to choose from: 750 and 1,250 m.

Runners can sign up until April 19, 2018. There will be food and water stations every 5 kilometres (water, isotonic drinks, solid food) as well as a more comprehensive station (soft drinks, beers and food) after the finish line
