- Museum & discovery
Visit this interpretation centre and museum to learn about our country's military history from 1830 to the present day.
Just a few kilometres from the centre of Liège, this brand new museum is located on the glacis of Boncelles fort and showcases the military heritage of the two World Wars.
The exhibition rooms are dedicated to the Great War, but also to the Second World War and the Battle of the Bulge during the winter of 1944. The didactic exhibition unveils the history of Boncelles fort during both conflicts.
Throughout your visit, you will discover unique pieces and period equipment from private collections. Flags, Belgian and German uniforms, weapons, munitions, shells, military maps, photographic documents, as well as an outdoor itinerary that groups together several armoured vehicles.
An original converted cafeteria, with old furniture from officers' messes and seats from armoured vehicles is the perfect place to relax after your visit or share your favourite bits and memories with the museum curator, a real enthusiast.
