- Nature reserve
- Museum & discovery
At the heart of the Hautes Fagnes, the Botrange nature centre helps you discover the first and largest Nature reserve in Belgium.
Located on the highest site of the country, the Maison du Parc offers eco-pedagogical activities, guided walks from March to November, outings on electric bikes or scooters as well as cross-country skiing in winter.
A trailer equipped with comfortable benches, attached to a tractor will take you on a fun 18-km discovery of the Hautes-Fagnes Plateau in the Ardennes. The audio guide is available in Dutch, French and German.
Children will enjoy the fun play area, themed around the local flora and fauna while parents relax in the medicine garden.
The Maison du Parc also has a permanent exhibition "Fania". Unusual, interactive, playful and full of surprises... it presents the many facets of the Hautes Fagnes.
Brochures in Dutch, English, French and German on request.
The temporary exhibitions on the site are free.
Visitors with specific needs
The Botrange nature centre is one of the many sites certified by Access-i (meaning with facilities or/activities adapted to travellers with specific needs). Please note only the museum (not the gardens) is certified. You will find more details on the website to plan your visit.
