In the heart of the Cité des Gilles, the International Carnival and Masque Museum is dedicated to carnival festivals and traditions in Belgium and elsewhere.

This original museum invites you to discover the fascinating world of masks and to travel through the world of winter festivals and carnivals. Discover the ritual functions of the mask on five continents, masked festivals of rural areas, the great urban carnivals of Europe, the Walloon carnivals and the famous carnival of Binche.

The Musée du Masque also organizes new temporary exhibitions, workshops, guided tours, and entertainment for adults, families and children.

The International Carnival and Masque Museum will be closed to the public until the end of June.
