The next edition of Liège's international Triennal, dedicated to Walloon design, will take place October 5th to November 25th, 2018.
This Euroregional event will feature more than 15 quality exhibitions and events on the Reciprocity theme: design and social innovation.
Social innovation is an evolution process where ideas come from a cariety of participants involved directly in looking for solutions. The "inventors" are creative communities and the results, organisations or collaborative services.
Design and designers matter
- Increase the scale of projects
- Enforce a systematic effect
- Recognise and bring to life social projects, as a self use prototype
- Create a space which rationalises the ideas for local actions into manageable and accessible to the public
To do so, a designer is not to be considered as a specialised, isolated, professional figure but as a group of collaborators co-concepting mature, viable and reproducible solutions. (Ezio Manzini, Desis Newsletter 3: Design as agent of sustainable changes).
RECIPROCITY's ambition is to set up a program helping diffuse change and put together a series of scenarii for lasting solutions.
This event takes place every 3 years.
