  • Museum & discovery
  • Sport de précision

The Rixensart Sainte Croix archery club is a real gem: pole archery is still practised there. Its premises also are home to a museum dedicated to this sport, featuring a thousand items including documents, photos, vintage bows, trophies...

Pole archery

Very popular in Belgium but little known outside the country, pole archery consists in shooting vertically to dislodge wooden birds decorated with feathers, placed 27.5 m high on a pole. This sport is mostly practised in winter, with competitions being organised. Initiations can be arranged for visitors.
