The Archaeoforum of Liège is an exceptional archaeological site located in the heart of the city centre.
True "historic heart" of the City Ardente, it reveals the traces of the past millennium.
The Archeoforum allows you to visit remains discovered during various excavation campaigns under the square, from 1907 to the present day.
An unusual journey retraces the history of the City in a modern and didactic way. Among many interesting sights you'll discover, prehistoric objects, a Gallo-Roman villa, many vestiges from the Saint-Lambert cathedral, and an immense Gothic building demolished by the Liégeois at the end of the ancient régime.
The Archéoforum provides you with Ipad tablets. So enjoy an interactive tour. From 30 minutes to 2 hours, delve into the depths of Liege history according to your interests and desires.
During term time: Tuesday to Friday from 9h- 17h Saturdays from 10h to 17h.
During school holidays: Tuesday to Saturday 10h-17h.
Closed Sundays, Mondays and public holidays: 01/01 - 01/05 - 21/07 - 15/08 - 27/09 - 02/11 - 11/11 - 25/12 and Ascension Day.
