The Wellington Museum, in the heart of Waterloo, used to an inn. The Duke of Wellington used it as his headquarters during the famous battle of 1815.
Both a museum and memorial, the collections retrace the European political background before and after the battle, putting forward engravings, historical weapons and documents.
The audio guides, available in 8 different languages (Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish) are complementary. You can also book a private guide (10 days in advance minimum).
The museum is not easily accessible to persons with reduced mobility.
