This superb abbey, founded in 1126 in the countryside near Binche, is the only one in the Hainaut region to have survived the French Revolution intact.

Visitors discover the site vis the 19th century garden (which replaced the courtyard of honour), the through stunning stairs and continue via the cloister, refectory, former kitchens, capitular hall and basilica.

Archeological excavations revealed the remains of a second abbey church (gothic, this one) at the back of the building.
