La Vanne has been organising kayak rides down the Semois since 1989: a fantastic, safe experience to reconnect with nature and relax. Come with friends, family or even solo and go at your pace along the river.

Please note this adventure is weather dependent: some waterways may not be safe after particularly heavy rains. Do check kayak.environnement.wallonie.be beforehand

Paddle along villages and natural reserves

Kayaking down the Semois is one of the greenest ways to explore the region. The boats are easy to handle and comfortable. They are available as mono or two-seaters.

4 routes, each with its own charm

  • Alle-Vresse: 7 km (1-2h)
  • Poupehan-Alle: 10 km (2-3h)
  • Alle-Membre: 11 km (2-3h)
  • Alle-Bohan: 17 km (3-4h)

La Vanne kayaks: a different way to see Wallonia

You may have heard Belgium has recently faced torrential rain, causing dramatic floods. Many regions have been touched by this natural catastrophe. We are doing our best to help all travellers coming to Wallonia. Some sites are, as you can understand, not accessible for the time being. Please contact them or check their website/social media platforms before getting on the road. Be assured we are all trying to get things back to order as soon as possible. Travel advice
