From the Maison du Pays des Collines, walk through the village of Ellezelles and prepare to meet with mythical creatures.
Sentier de l'Etrange d'Ellezelles
Something is happening in the village of Ellezelles, in the Pays des Collines... Something magical, supernatural even, which can be glimpsed when turning the corner of a street, looking through groves or even at the entrance of the forest: an invite to a pleasant 5 km long trail.
Watkyne, a pioneer of folk art, came up with the idea of a stroll in nature, featuring sculptures and bas relief themes around witches, elves, etc... in the 80s.
Every year, a few more pieces are added to this incredible trail. Think of it as an open-air museum, an outdoors permanent exhibition which can be visited throughout the seasons.
