Liège's Archaeoforum is an exceptional archaeological site located in the city centre, right under the Place Saint-Lambert.

You could describe it, really, as the "historic heart" of the City Ardenteas it features hints of its past over centuries.

The Archeoforum gives you the opportunity to admire remains discovered during various excavations under the square, from 1907 to the present day.

This unusual journey retraces the history of the City in a modern and didactic way. Among the many interesting sights are prehistoric objects, a Gallo-Roman villa, vestiges from the Saint-Lambert cathedral, and an immense Gothic building demolished by the Liégeois at the end of the Ancien Régime.

The Archéoforum can provide Ipad tablets, should you wish to enjoy an interactive tour (30 mn to 2 hours, depending on the level of detail you are interested in). Delve into the depths of Liege's history!
