Come and enjoy one of the greenest cycling trails of the RAVel network in Wallonia. This former railway track, 40 km long, goes through the Pays de Hervé and used to link Chênée and Plombières. Part of the route has been certified mobility friendly by Access-I.
This stunning green belt is car-free: perfect for runners, hikers, horse riders and cyclists.
Start your stroll at the Maison du Tourisme du Pays de Herve and head for Thimister then Clermont-sur-Berwinne (one of the most beautiful villages in Wallonia). E-bikes and mountain bikes can be rented from the Maison du Tourisme.
The 9 km route between Herve et Fléron is Access-I certified
You will find, along that part of the itinerary, several railways stations turned into restaurants, brasseries, bakeries, tea rooms, administrative centres...
Ramps and bypasses will help you to manoeuvre more easily.
Worth seeing along the way:
- The Musée de la Boverie: fine arts and exhibitions in Liège
- Waterhouse Source O Rama in Chaudfontaine
- Maison du Tourisme of the Pays de Herve
