Nismes, counting no less than 6 clog factories, was one of the most efficient production sites in Belgium. Its success started to face aftef the war, with the appearance of rubber shoes, as resistant and much cheaper
Only a few houses and brick chimney along the Eau Noire remain of this industrial past.
