Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve – Accessibility

Located in the heart of Walloon Brabant, Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve offers quite a unique concept. One city, yes, but two urban centres (Ottignies and Louvain-la-Neuve), each with its own characteristics.

A city accessible to all

In 2013, Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve was added by the EDEN project to the list of exceptional destinations, for its focus on making its infrastructures more accessible to travellers with reduced mobility. Built only 40 years ago, Ottignies was indeed designed as a modern metropolis, with practicality and sustainability in mind.

Pedestrian friendly, creative, multicultural, green, dynamic... Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve offers an amazing range of activities, both cultural and traditional such as its famous 24 Hours Cycle race. A fascinating city to say the least!
