In Bastogne, the events that mark the year are enjoyed by all the family, in a warm atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. The Pat Carnaval was originally created by a youth movement, and at the Indian Festival taking place on a bison farm, Bastogne displays its family spirit.
Pat’Carnaval — February
For almost a quarter of a century, this carnival has been marking the end of winter in Bastogne. Over three days the festivities are full of activities including a parade of floats, shows for children, the famous election of the carnival prince, Gédiwi – there’s something for all tastes.
Indian Festival — July
Immerse the family in the very distinctive atmosphere of the Far West by visiting the Ferme des Bisons. Indians, cowboys and Yankees will make young and old move to their traditional music and songs over a weekend.
Foire aux Noix — Mi-December
Folklore in Bastogne is sacred! This Nut Fair, an event born of an old custom of offering nuts to one’s beloved, commemorates the siege of the town during the Second World War and the famous “Nuts!” uttered by General McAuliffe.
