The Biercée distillery, founded in Thuin in 1946, is famous for its Eau de Villée, a premium quality lemon liqueur. The site produces many more exquisite elixirs and brandies, in a wide range of flavours. There is more to try in the region: the vineyard planted on the city's terraced gardens make a delightful wine and the local abbey will delight beer lovers with their craft brews.

Le Clos des Zouaves

The terraced gardens have recently been planted with a thousand vine plants, an estate known as Le Clos des Zouaves. The first harvest was in 2003. Make sure to try their wine, which falls under the Côtes de Sambre et Meuse appellation.

L’Eau de Villée and Yellitos

Visit the Biercée Distillery and you will learn the many secrets of the Eau de Villée. It takes 10 kg of fresh fruit to make a single bottle of this extraordinary liqueur! Fancy a twist? Ask for a Yellito cocktail when in town, the local version of a Mojito: Eau de Villée, lemon, fresh mint and Schweppes Tonic. Perfect on a summer day...

ADA, the beer of the Aulne Abbey

The enchanting setting of the abbey is home to an artisanal Belgian brewery producing « Bière d’Abbaye Reconnue » (Recognised Abbey Beers). Their creation, the ADA, is made in this traditional spirit.
