  • Market
  • Trade fair

Over a hundred artisans in period costumes will join this vibrant market in Marche-en-Famenne. The event takes place every year on August 15th.

This market created in 1900 (hence its name), was at the time known as the bird market. It is now protected as part of Wallonia's living intangible cultural heritage.

An extraordinary market

Wander through this fascinating universe, admire the skills of its artisans, let singers, musicians, street entertainers enchant you, taste regional products, try your hand at games of yesteryear: there are 7000 m² to explore!

Fun all around

Look out for the 30 or so passionate volunteers in costume, walking or cycling around, distributing maps of the bike network in town.

Aye's Birds Friends club will present a wide range of species from their breeding.
