This lovely hike begins at the Achouffe Brewery, where the famous Chouffe beer is made. Ready for a loop walk through the Nutons village? Have you heard their legend yet?

These dwarf creatures, typical of the Ardenne, lived in a cave (such as the Trou des Nutons, Route de La Roche à Houffalize) and had a tunnel leading to the Notre Dame de Forêt church, between Taverneux and Sommerain.

At night, they would repair the shoes of the villagers, which made the place rather famous. In 1807, two refractory members found shelter in their cave. Both were shoemakers. At night, the locals would leave their torn shoes with provisions by the entrance and would find them repaired the following day.
