La Louvière has put its carnival procession on hold this year. Worry not - there is still much fun to enjoy…

Carillon concerts

On March 14, the traditional Gilles chimes will be played by the bells of the Saint Joseph church

The Laetare exhibition

  • Retraces the story of this carnival through time
  • QR codes to access videos and interviews

Treasure hunts

Trail inspired by the local folkloric traditions will be organised in town between Febriuary 20 and March 20

Traditional costumes

  • Costumes and hats will be on show in the hall of the administrative offices
  • Floral decorations, inspired by the carnival, can be seen all around town

In each commune

  • As every year, large installations representing traditional music instruments will be on show
  • Screening of the traditional Gilles silhouette on buildings at dusk
