Who is Margaret Harrison?
For 50 years, this very engaged artist has been criticising the stereotypes of female beauty in society. Both an artist and an activist, Margaret Harrison targets the domination in professional, domestic spheres as well as in art history and popular culture.
How? By feminising male bodies (super heroes ones for example) and reversing the usual structures presented by society and mass media and using exaggeration, body and subversion.
