Leather and wooden puppets

Indonesia has a rich tradition of puppets - in all kinds of shapes and styles. Two types, particularly memorable, will be featured as the Musée International du Carnaval et du Masque: the wooden puppets, in 3 dimensions (wayang golek and wayang klitik) and the shadow theatre puppets, flat and made from leather (wayang kulit).

Discover Indonesian puppets at the Musée International du Carnaval et du Masque in Binche.
