The vallée de la Gueule, in the Cantons de l'Est, offers a well-marked hike from a source of the Meuse to the mouth of the river: the Via Gulia. This walk, in 5 stages, is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the history, culture and diversity of this border area, part of the Natura 2000 network.

La Gueule is a little stream starting in the Cantons de l'Est and finishing in the Meuse, not far from Maastricht. It goes through La Calamine, Valkenburg and the Plombières mining site.

The varied geology of the valley explains how varied its flora is.
