Jean Pierre Müller and textiles

This media is at the very heart of the artist's world. Flexible, rich in history and stories, it echoes the complexity of the outside world. Fabrics also fit an artist's need to play with transparency. opacity, nuances... but also veiling and unveiling. These poetic associations, that can be used, for example, when layering images.

What to see at the exhibition?

Each room is a universe of its own, raising questions on migration and minorities:

  • Large scale installations
  • Portraits
  • Silkscreen on paper
  • Drawings
  • Paintings
  • One installation designed with Congolese artist Aimé Mpané
