- Exhibition
Tournai fine art museum offers a different take on its collection, using a drawing by Van Gogh: "Trees in Montmajour".
An extraordinary drawing
In 1888, Van Gogh discovers the South of France, where he draws using his famous hatching technique. With these streaks, he tries to capture his vision of nature, wild, going with the wind, a swirl also symbolising his torments, his chases for a lost paradise.
A fascinating exhibition
Trees in Montmajour proved one of Van Gogh's masterpieces. From this stunning vision, the exhibition looks at how artists share their sensory experience of the world.
Paradise, cabinet of curiosities and wonders, Eden garden... Nature clearly appears as man's favourite space.
A guest artist
Local artist Benjamin Monti, who lives in Liège offers his own interpretation through a selection of drawings and collages: a troubling vision of our world
