Located by one one the most beautiful villages in Wallonia, Poirier du Loup is a communal vineyard managed by forty volunteers.
The estate
The story starts in 1954, when Mr Petit asks a lady known as "La Zolette" whether he could plant vine plants on her land. The name of the first wine produced in the village bore his name. With time, the vineyard disappeared but a group of enthusiasts took up the challenge of bringing it back to life, focusing on organic viticulture.
The wine
The vineyard produces:
- still wines (Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir)
- sparkling wines (white and rosé)
- ratafia
- and from time to time, thatched wine aged in acacia barrels.
