The Brogne Abbey, a mere 20 km from Namur and Charleroi, was founded in the early 10th century. This stunning building has now been converted into a hotel, complete with a restaurant, an exhibition space and a centre promoting Belgian viticulture.

The Benedictine abbey was originally created in 919 by Gérard de Brogne. The actual building dates from 1743 and still has its 18th-century crypt.

Do have a look at the abbey's agenda to see the events organised throughout the year.

  • Promote Belgian wine, its history, the grape varieties used...
  • Understand and present the work done in the vineyards in Belgium
