The origin of Le Sentier de l’Etrange

Watkyne, a pioneer of folk art, came up with the idea of a stroll in nature, featuring sculptures and bas relief themes around witches, elves, etc... in the 80s.

Every year, a few more pieces are added to this incredible trail. Think of it as an open-air museum, an outdoors permanent exhibition which can be visited throughout the seasons.

Don't forget...

Choose comfortable walking shoes or, if it's been raining, boots.

A walker's guide to Wallonia

If you were to draw a straight line on an atlas northward from the Massif Central in France to the North Pole, the only area of high ground the line crosses is the Ardennes, shared between Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany – but mainly belonging to Wallonia, the southern part of Belgium!
