A fruity folkloric event! The day following the Macrâlles' Sabbath, the town of Vielsalm will celebrate blueberries.
Once upon a time...
A legend says that a group of young people, coming back empty-handed from foraging blueberries, saw a woman carrying a full basket. Seeing them so disappointed, she offered them a glass of Pecket and Tcha-Tcha (nectar made from these berries). The drink finished they turned into macrâlles...
The organisers of the fair will therefore appear as witches making their broom fly, blowing powdered bones on the public. Guilds, carriages, bands will join in.
